Support Survivor Recovery and Rebirth
Empowering Recovery, Inspiring Change
At "Can't Take My Light," we are currently developing impactful initiatives designed to support individuals overcoming the trauma of sexual assault. Our key campaigns, '1st 28' and 'The Next Chapter,' are in the process of being established as we build our resources and await the approval of our non-profit status.
Campaign Details and Impact
'1st 28' Campaign: A Journal for Recovery
Mission: To provide immediate support through journaling, helping survivors to process their experiences during the critical initial days following trauma.
Impact of Journaling: Documenting thoughts and emotions can significantly alleviate the physical and emotional aftermath of trauma. A journal offers a private, safe space for survivors to articulate and confront their feelings, often playing a crucial role in therapy and legal proceedings.
Future Contributions: Once we are able to accept donations, your support will ensure that every survivor we reach receives a journal almost immediately after their assault, offering a vital tool for their healing process.
'The Next Chapter' Campaign: Reclaiming Professional Lives
Mission: To empower survivors to reclaim their professional lives, offering scholarships for survivors of sexual assault to attend career enhancement courses and development programs at no cost.
Career Rebuilding: This program provides more than just career advice; it offers a comprehensive pathway to independence and professional reintegration. Personalized coaching, resume workshops, and interview preparation equip survivors with the skills and confidence needed to pursue new job opportunities or return to the workforce.
Your Future Role: Your donations will directly support these transformative services, helping survivors to turn the page on their past and embark on a new chapter with optimism.
Your Impact in Numbers and Stories
$50: Provides journals to five survivors, giving them a voice when they need it most.
$100: Funds a career coaching session, equipping a survivor with essential job market skills.
$500: Supports an entire career workshop, offering multiple survivors the chance to learn, grow, and connect.
